Buyers Guide

Whether you are buying your first home or your next home, I am here to help make the process feel simple, organized, and exciting. I will guide you through each step so you always know what to expect.

  1. Get Pre-Approved First

Before you begin touring homes, connect with a lender and get pre-approved. This will help you understand your budget, strengthen your offer, and allow you to move quickly when you find the right home.

  2. Know Your Must-Haves

Before starting your search, think about what matters most to you. Consider your preferred location, price range, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, yard size, commute, school district, and any features you would love to have.

It can also help to separate your list into must-haves and nice-to-haves.

  3. Stay Within a Comfortable Budget

You do not have to spend the full amount you are approved for. Consider your monthly payment, utilities, maintenance, taxes, insurance, and other regular expenses when deciding what feels comfortable.

  4. Avoid Major Financial Changes

Once you are pre-approved and under contract, avoid opening new credit cards, changing jobs, financing a vehicle, or making large purchases without speaking with your lender first. These changes could affect your loan approval.

  5. Look Beyond the Décor

Paint colors, furniture, and decorations can be changed. Focus on the location, layout, condition of the home, and whether the property fits your long-term needs.

  6. Do Not Skip the Inspection

A home inspection can help identify potential problems before closing. I will help you understand the inspection process and guide you through any repair requests or negotiations.

  7. Ask Questions

There is no such thing as a bad question. Buying a home is a big decision, and my goal is to make sure you feel informed and confident throughout the entire process.
